Sallie Mae conducted a study in 2009 that showed that 84 percent of undergrads had credit cards. Then by 2016, 56 percent of students had credit cards.

- Understand what goes into borrowing.
- Keep your balances low so you can easily pay them off.
- Continue working toward building up your credit score.
- Don’t go over the top and spend excessively where you don’t need to.
